The Flow of Migrant Money
The money flows in small amounts, crossing borders $200 or $300 at a time. It buys cornmeal and rice and plaid private school skirts and keeps the landlord away. Globally, the tally is huge: Migrants from poor countries send home about $300 billion a year. That is more than three times the global total in foreign aid, making "remittances" the main source of outside money flowing to the developing world

LEARN AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY
Life is about learning lessons. Even if we are no longer in an academic environment, the learning never stops..
When things are not going our way, roadblocks show up everywhere we look. Nothing is working and everything is struggle. This is the universe's way of telling us that there is a lesson for us to learn and until we do so, the situation will become more and more painful.
When we start to pay attention to what is happening, learn the lesson and make the appropriate adjustments, the problem
will pass.

Support the ...
Dream Act, a bill that would give conditional legal status to immigrants brought to the U.S. at a young age. IMAGINE not being able to go to college after doing elementary school and high school but since you (your parents!) did or could not get citizenship...you pay the price of not getting a full education!
To support, all you have to do is write a letter to your representative. It is "dum easy" by clicking on the link below, filling out where you live, it tells you who your rep is and then you fill out a short letter (THEY EVEN GIVE U THE WORDS TO WRITE THE LETTER WITH!)...then press send! (FYI...u don't have to donate any money...can't blame them for asking, this is America!)

An Email From One of our Viewers ;0)
I came across your interview in the The LatinConnect.
You turned me onto a book that seemingly will give my butt the kicking it needs. I have been trying to convince myself to do what I wanted to do rather than listen to everyone around me and follow them; or join the rat race. I'm a couple of years younger than you and I find great solace in the fact that you, as young as you are, are your own boss.
Congrats on your current success and good luck finding your treasure.
Sincerely,
Daniel
Lupoli
P.S. Thanx for turning me onto "The Alchemist."

"A graphic artist ...
has somehting of the troubadour within him...(he) is like a blackbird that sings in the treetop. Again and again he repeats his song. The more copies people ask him to make, the better he likes it. He hopes the wind will spread his leaves over the earth the farther the better - not like dry leaves in autumn but rather like feather-light seeds capable of germinating. This graphic artist's immaterial and purely spiritual ideal is the fruitful transfer of thoughts from one humag being to as many fellow human beings as possible." -M.C. Escher

yesterday morning...
i past by the same homeless man that never asks for anything but seems to receive food to hellos from everyone...he smiled at me with the biggest bluest eyes I've seen...caught the train from BK and spent a good 15 minutes listening to a live violinist play the most beautiful classical music while passing over the bridge ... got off and took a short cut thru Madison Sq. Park, passing by the two smallest little people (3ft..for real) happily in love...made me think of that homeless man being god hanging on the corner making sure we all ok ... cuz it ended up being a good day.
