Economy 101

The economy is like playing craps. (if u from NYC u know what craps is ... google it) The dice have been thrown in the air and they land with over a 100,000 jobs lost (that's only New York), 50 businesses a day closing (that's only the UK ... yes this is worldwide) and your ass saying sh!!!!!!!t.

But this dice has been thrown before... many times. If you go backwards and only focus on technology (one of many factors that effect the economy like politics, commodidies, society etc) the last time technology ruffled our feathers was in '00 with the bubble burst of the spread of the Internet. Before that, the spread of computers in the 60's (hello corporate America). Preceding that in the 20's radio, phones and automobiles thanks to industrailization that happen right before that in the 1800's ... get my point?

If not then think of how these changes affected many people. They too were thinking like you that their future was not what they thought it was gonna be. The only thing you can bet on in an ecomony is change itself.

Look at all the varibles affecting our economy today, this is my bet on this game of craps. The game itself will only get quicker. The race we on is one of making things more efficient and faster. So alot of skills out there will loose there value to the point of finding your self out of a job. If you are one of the chosen ones with a desired skill you still might find yourself getting "kicked out of the house to fend for yourself" so to speak. The corporation you work for will also have to handle the quick changes to stay afloat. And we all know if your ship is sinking you throw overboard as much as you can...

So here we are floating on this reckage called the economy. And were not alone thx to all the layoff parties and recession sales I've gone to. But what's happens next is a domino affect of individuals rebuilding there boat out of the reckage and packing light so they can be more flexible and fluid. Letting go of all the materialism that holds us down ( bye bye hummer ) utilizing the Internet ( welcome to my social network, shopping cart ... blog ) and shit I got this ship so why not sail around ( costa rica anyone ).

But all in all all these "changes" good or bad from the beginning of time has moved us forward even if it felt like it was draggin us down.

So keep the following in mind:

1. Pack light

2. Be ready for quicker change ( look out for the next generation on their heelys closing million dollar deals via twitter )

3. Live TODAY cuz if your stuck in tomorrow today will pass you by

( imagine all those vacations rather then the 401k's you lost or got tricked into ... but we cover that in corporare conspiracy 101 class)

Class dismissed.
